Final Free Choice Project Reflection: May 30, 2013.
1. My final project is a plate that I made on the wheel with white clay and used regular glaze. I took me a full period to make it, and then I had to come back and trim it later.
2. I think the good part of my project is how it is circular and the trim on the bottom looks cool because that is unique to me.
3. I think I could have done a better job with the glaze because I was so rushed that it got kind of sloppy.
4. The meaning for my project is that you can use it to put food on or other things because it is a plate.
5. I think the important elements are the form and color because the it is 3-D and has two different colors on it.
6. I think the important principles are contrast and balance because the colors are contrasting and the balance is all the same around.
7. I learned to take things very carefully if you want it to look good because when you rush you things sometimes dont turn out the way you want them too.
8. I got my idea because I wanted to do another plate. First I got white clay, wedged it, made a plate on the pottery wheel, and then I trimmed it a day later.
9. My project was planned because I really like plates. My plate got smushed on one side so I went back on the pottery wheel and fixed it because I wanted it to look the same as it always does.
10. I think it was worthwhile because I like how my project turned out. I am going to be in senior independent art next year so I am going to make a photo book of my senior pictures that I will take over the summer because that way I will have it ready for my grad party.
